Czech Republic wins Miss Earth 2012 (more photo)

Miss Earth 2012 Winners: Camila Brant from Brazil (Fire), Tereza Fajksova from Czech Republic (Earth), Stephany Stephanowitz from the Philippines (Air) and Osmariel Villalobos from Venezuela (Water) Tereza Fajksova, Miss Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Earth 2012 during the annual event held at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Metro Manila, on November 24th. She received the crown from outgoing titleholder Olga Alava. Elected as Miss Earth-Air was Philippines’ own Stephany Stephanowitz, while Venezuela and Brazil were voted Miss Earth Water and Miss Earth Fire, respectively.

Carousel Productions hit a home-run with the impressive and statuesque Tereza Fajskova, one of the most beautiful Miss Earth titleholders in the pageant’s 12-year run. The top 4 beauties had to answer the same final question, “define your most important moment as a woman”. The top 8 finalists were USA, South Africa, Russia and Nepal; and the Top 16 semi-finalists were Costa Rica, Korea, Scotland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, Poland and Germany.

Top favorites such as Turkey, Thailand, Norway and Puerto Rico did not make the semi-finals. The biggest surprise was of Miss Turkey, who led the scoreboard during the weeks prior to the final and won several medals. This was the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, organized by Philippines-based Carousel Productions.
